The Crypto Finance Group is one of the first providers of professional services for the DFINITY ICP token: clients can trade and store ICP securely just a month after the DFINITY Internet Computer launch. The DFINITY Foundation’s mission is to build the Internet Computer, reinventing the internet as a computer that hosts secure software.

The Crypto Finance Group is pleased to announce it now enables trading and secure storage for the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP). DFINITY partners and ICP users benefit from the secure storage and trading solutions provided by the fintech group. Just a month after DFINITY’s Internet Computer launch, with strong market capitalisation and growing use cases, Crypto Finance’s enterprise and financial sector clients benefit from access to the ICP token and the innovative technology it supports.

DFINITY’s Internet Computer aims to be a secure, decentralised, and cost-effective blockchain network that extends the functionality of the public internet so it can host backend software, transforming it into a global compute platform. Using the Internet Computer, developers can create websites, enterprise IT systems, and internet services by installing their code directly on the public internet and dispense with server computers and commercial cloud services.

The Internet Computer intends to address a series of long-standing issues affecting IT, including system security: it is a means to reverse the increasing monopolisation of internet services, user relationships, and data, and it restores the internet to its permissionless, innovative, and creative roots. DFINITY has launched an advanced decentralised protocol called ICP (Internet Computer Protocol) that independent data centres around the world run. The foundation’s aim is to combine the power of individual computers so that native software is hosted and run with the same security guarantees as smart contracts can provide.

The new open services proposed by the Internet Computer aim to rival existing, big tech monopolies by creating a dynamic, collaborative, and mutually beneficial ecosystem. Participants will be able to create a new suite of applications and services, benefitting from an “open internet boom”.

“The demand for ICP has been extremely high, raising the need for a regulated partner that meets the needs of financial intermediaries, enterprises, and partners across a variety of industries. We are proud to support ICP for our clients with a secure, regulated solution”, says Stijn Vander Straeten, CEO of the storage infrastructure and tokenisation division of the Crypto Finance Group.

Crypto Finance adds ICP to their extensive access to the digital asset markets. Two key groups benefit: clients looking to enable their business model with ICP investments and leading enterprises interested in working with ICP can to meet their governance and compliance requirements.
